Ricky Whittle on Afterbuzz TV regarding Lincoln’s death, Jason Rothenberg, and his treatment as a member of the cast - 05/04/2016
@spacexualkids may I add the fact that Ricky said that Eliza was so talented and that she works so hard. That she literally has to do everything. But that she’s always laughing, she’s always positive and is a barrel of fun.
THE SHADE IS SO REAL YOU GO RICKY DRAG THIS BITCH
IT’S GETTING BETTER YALL

“Please talk to someone x”
ricky whittle is not upset because a guest star got more screen time than him. he is upset because he was not treated the way he deserved, and because he wasn’t given the screen time he earned.
alycia did not choose who got how much screen time; jroth and the writers did.
ricky whittle has never been anything other than open and friendly and kind with his fans and his coworkers.
you can still like the show but dislike certain behind the scenes aspects of it, including how they treat their cast.
you can be sad for lincoln’s character but proud of ricky whittle for standing up for himself, and happy that he is moving onto bigger and better things for his health and career.
you can criticize the show and how they treat their cast, while still being a fan of the show.
if you care more about the death of a fictional character than the health and fair treatment of a real person, that is an issue.
if you care more about how the show is going to go forward, than the fact that ricky whittle was so mistreated, that is an issue.
if you care more about a fictional f/f ship than how the show treats its poc cast members, that is an issue.
you can support ricky whittle and the show. ricky by supporting him in all his future projects and with his decision to leave the show, and the show by supporting it in moving forward and becoming better both as a tv show and in its treatment of the cast.
I think that something needs to be made clear. This Ricky situation is not about screentime. It is not about Alycia or Clexa or any ships. If you don’t believe me, believe it from the source.

It’s about a man of power bullying the actors that work for him. Stop saying that Ricky is being petty because of screentime. He is speaking out against a bully, which is a profoundly brave thing to do. Ricky is probably not the only person to experience bullying on the set of The 100. He is being courageous. So you bet your ass that I stand with Ricky Whittle.
on a scale of 1 to Ricky Whittle how done are you with the shitty writing this season
