“I don’t believe it! I don’t believe it! Oh, Ron, how wonderful! A prefect! That’s everyone in the family!”
“What are Fred and I, next-door neighbors?”
  • herhmione

no offense but people in the harry potter fandom tend to treat the weasley kids like shit. like they straight up just forget about bill and charlie, demonize percy (like i concede he was an asshole but he was a very well written 3 dimensional asshole who eventually atoned for his sins so), treat fred & george like gods because one’s dead and they’re the “marauders 2.0” (don’t get me wrong i love the marauders but come on guys…. fred and george are different than james and sirius), basically pretend ron didn’t exist despite the fact that he is literally harry’s absolute best friend in the whole world forever and ever, and call ginny “the girl who waited”

    Weasley children and name meanings

My father told me all the Weasleys have red hair, freckles, and more children than they can afford

The Weasley Family. “In Britain and Ireland the weasel has a bad reputation as an unfortunate, even malevolent, animal. However, since childhood I have had a great fondness for the family mustelidae; not so much malignant as maligned, in my opinion. There are also many superstitions associated with redheaded people and most state that they are in some way unlucky (Judas Escariot was supposedly red-haired), but this is nonsense; I happen to like red hair as well as weasels.” - J.K. Rowling
