I have a verse in my head–and it’s my favorite among the many that exist there–where Willow and Tara live happily ever after. That’s literally the entire premise of it.
Like: they get married. It’s super whimsical and full of flowers. It’s not incredibly fancy, but it’s exactly how they would have wanted it. And they can’t believe how beautiful the other looks?? They spend the entire ceremony smiling.
They adopt some cats together. They give them cheesy names and carry them around like babies. This eventually leads to them adopting an actual baby. They name her Indigo.
They’re both so scared. Willow remembers the fear of never feeling good enough for her parents–like every decision she made would bring scorn. She vows to never make her own daughter feel that way.
For Tara, though, it runs deeper. She remembers how her family treated her–her father and brother and cousins–so she tries so hard not to make the same mistakes. She remembers her mother: how she smelled, the sound of her voice. How Tara always knew she loved her. She makes sure her daughter feels the same way.
She–Indigo–ends up being an incredibly skilled witch. Her mothers can’t believe how talented she is. Willow jokes that it’s because of how much they loves her. Tara isn’t so sure that’s untrue. It’s not just magic, either; Indigo’s talented at everything she does, really. Poetry, drawing, painting, everything.
They love her so much. She reminds them of how far they’ve come, how much they’ve been through together.
They’re happy. They’re loved. They’re in love. They get a happy ending.

The only thing I had going for me, were the moments- just moments- when Tara would look at me, and I was wonderful. And that will never happen again.
